Quilted Coat - Lucas

The first quilted jacket I made. Somewhere between a shirt and a jacket really. Wide wale corduroy, bamboo jersey interior, bamboo wadding. Yellow bias binding inside. This jacket was a real labour of love, multiple mock ups, endless time quilting and binding the edges of each piece. I really like this garment, not only in look but in fit and comfort. It was my first attempt at quilting pattern pieces. It led me down an avenue I’d never considered.
